This social story focuses on different types of greetings and determining the expected greeting to use depending on the person and the setting/location. It includes a follow up worksheet and visual cue cards to remind the student and encourage independent use of the skill across settings. To follow up on each of the social stories, I often laminate the cue cards I create at the end of each story and provide to the student or teacher. For older students I put smaller visuals in the clear window of a pencil case. For younger students, I may put on the desk with packing tape or give to the teacher for carryover.
