In my classroom, we have a "Break Box" for students to visit when they are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, upset, angry... you name it. In the Break Box are a variety of calming tools and activities students can use/do in order to get back on track and ready to learn. I wrote this social story specifically about what the Break Box is and how it should be used. When students come to the Break Box, they read the story (I laminated it), and proceed with their break.
