PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Give your students the opportunity to talk about some of their favorite movies, tv shows, and books with this unique project that will hone their sociology skills! This project asks students to choose a favorite book, movie, or tv show and choose a character. Using this character, they will be asked to demonstrate their understanding of some of the key terms and concepts regarding Social Structure and Group Behavior from sociology. The key terms and concepts are listed below:

• Role strain
• Role conflict
• Ascribed status
• Achieved status
• One of the three leadership styles
• Each of the five basic groups

Project can be assigned as homework, given as an in-class assignment, or a mix of both!
