This is a multidisciplinary project for Social Studies, Art and French.
In this project, students will:
*research their family history
*reflect on where their family comes from and what traditions they'd like to continue
*write about what makes them unique in the shape of their fingerprint
*reflect on where they're going in the future!
In Part 1, students will answer questions about their family history. They will need to ask their parents (and maybe even grandparents) questions. They will have to reflect on what traditions they find important and on what makes them Canadian.
In Part 2, students will write 4-5 paragraphs (in French) that express their individuality: their beliefs, what they find important, their likes and dislikes, etc. They will use these paragraphs to make a large version of their own fingerprint - something that is completely unique to them!
Included in this file are B&W or colour options for printing, rubrics for Part 1 and Part 2, and student examples.
