This is a social studies graphic organizer that I copy for each of my students to keep in their binders all year long. It has the character traits that 3rd graders in Georgia are supposed to recognize in the famous Americans they learn about. For each character trait there is a place for students to explain what it means and to write the names of people who exhibit that trait. After learning about a person in social studies, as a class we place their name on the chart based on their character traits. It meets the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) for third grade social studies but could be used with many other grade levels.
