Here’s an excellent, interactive game to help your students review the important Social Studies vocabulary related to the Turn of the Century and World War I (Georgia Performance Standards SS5H3 and SS5H4) for the GMAP test. This game plays much like classic Dominoes, except the students match definitions to terms on the “dominoes” (cards). Students can play this game individually or with a partner. It is the perfect game to have students play on the floor by their desks if they finish an assignment early. You could also make several copies of this game and give them to students who need a little extra help before the big test. They can take the Dominoes home and play independently. It’s much more fun than simply reviewing notecards—plus they’re actually studying and learning! We always have lots of fun, and the students are challenged to remember words that they learned throughout the whole year. Everything that you need is included in this file—just print, cut, and play!
This file is aligned to the Georgia Performance Standards for fifth grade Social Studies. Please see the Preview for the vocabulary words that are included in this set.
