+ Necessary goods
+ Desired services
+ Government services
* 3 points from spelling (fill in the missing letters)
* 2 points from a short writing about tax.
TOTAL POINTS = 20.
The problem with teaching social studies in Thailand to primary kids is the content is so difficult - the vocabulary is so hard for young learners.
This is actually a test that I re-wrote because the original test given by the original teacher was way too wordy and too difficult and all the kids failed badly first time round. With this re-test we got a much better spread of marks - the clever kids got good scores and the weaker ones got lower marks - much fairer.
So if you're looking for a social studies test for your EP students that cuts through all the extra wordiness and focuses on the key words and meaning, this test will work for you.
Hope it's helpful to you.
