This handout can be used for students to practice and demonstrate their knowledge of content vocabulary. The teacher provides a list of vocab terms. Students write one term in each box of the grid. Then, they choose a row of three words and must write a sentence that demonstrates the meanings of all three words. It's harder than it sounds, and it forces the kids to demonstrate that they really understand the meaning of vocab terms and how they relate to each other. I use this in my Civics class, but it can be used with any content vocabulary.
