This lesson plan reflects the Grade 6 Ontario (Canada) Social Studies (Strand B) Curriculum.
Students are introduced to a complete note on non-governmental organizations (NGO). This note thoroughly explains to students the primary focus of NGOs and the provisions they offer to those around the world.
This note is followed by an assignment where students research two NGOs with the website provided. In this task, students create geographic thinking inquiry questions to answer queries prompted by their research about the NGO of their choice. Prompts are provided within the instructions for students who may have difficulty in creating the questions themselves.
How to get TPT credit to use on future purchases:
•Please go to your My Purchases page (you may need to login). Beside each purchase you'll see a Provide Feedback button. Simply click it and you will be taken to a page where you can give a quick rating and leave a short comment for the product. Each time you give feedback, TPT gives you feedback credits that you use to lower the cost of your future purchases. I value your feedback greatly as it helps me determine which products are most valuable for your classroom so I can create more for you.
