This product is designed to complement, enhance, or enrich the lessons you are already teaching about Women’s History Month. Each of the five centers included here can stand alone from each other, but should not stand alone as the only source of instruction or information about this topic. Before you allow students to work in these stations, be sure you have established the routines outlined in the starter kit.
Read about it: This text is leveled to be used with on-level 5th graders. Scaffolding and other supports may be necessary for lower readers or language learners.
Write about it: You can choose for students to answer this prompt in a journal or on a separate piece of paper. There is a larger version of the prompt as well as smaller versions which can be glued into notebooks.
Fab Vocab: Students will need access to at least one dictionary.
Map Genius: Print out the map provided (in color if possible). Laminate for durability.
Game Time: Prep is required for this center. Print the quote puzzles on sturdy cardstock in color (or B/W, but keep each quote separated). Cut out the words individually and laminate for durability.
