We've all had to sat through dreadful power point presentations. My power point presentations are engaging, challenging and intriguing. I hope to show you my power point methods through the use of a portion of one of my power points on Syria. First, let me establish a little credibility. I was an award winning high school Social Studies teacher, specializing in Global Studies. One of the many commendations I received was the Rhode Island Social Studies teacher of the year in 1997. See my Teachers pay Teachers profile for more info. In 2009, I retired from high school teaching and, since then, I have taught, part time, in the Education Department of Salve Regina University, and in the Political Science Department of the University of Rhode Island. I have supervised Social Studies student teachers for 7 years now. As a result of these experiences, I feel I can offer you some suggestions in developing successful power point presentations. (I’ve certainly seen a lot of terrible ones!)
This product includes a power point on Syria and, below each slide, there are educational tips. Additionally, there are guided notes which correspond to the power point slides. In going through the power point and using the guided notes, you will learn a lot about power point strategies, not to mention you'll be learning a lot about Syria.
