Description

Looking for a great stress-buster, bell-ringer, brain-break, warmer, filler, or fast-finisher activity?

This beautiful, hand-illustrated drawing, writing, or discussion prompt asks students to recall a random memory with another person. It could be good or bad, mundane or bizarre, funny or tragic. This gets students thinking about an important person in their life and the moments they share. A great prompt for a discussion about what makes people special, what we like to do with our friends, or how others support us and get us through trying times.

This is a great way to draw attention to the importance of relationships and generate examples of memorable moments with others. It can serve as part of an SEL (Social Emotional Learning Unit). Or it can make a simple brain break or bell-ringer/do-now that focuses on the little things that bring positivity into our world!

This product contains suggestions on how to use the prompt and the one-page illustrated worksheet itself with a license to print, copy, and use it as many times in YOUR classroom as you see fit.

Each of these original worksheets from the 60 Positive Activities for Kids activities are extremely flexible and adaptable to fit your classroom! Students can respond in writing, in discussion, or by drawing. Younger learners (or lower-level ESL/EFL students) might start with a drawing, then label it. After that, they can tell their partner about their answer, before doing a short writing of a sentence or two. Older or more advanced students might start with drawings and notes, and move straight to a paragraph, which they can then read or present to the class!

These exercises make great stress-busters, bell-ringers, brain-breaks, warmers, fillers, or fast-finisher activities and they're easy to fit into a writing class, English class, creative play time, or even an after-school program, preschool, nursery school, kindergarten, or homeschooling situation.
