"He who does the work, does the learning."
With that in mind, this unit plan is exactly the resource you need to help your students build responsibility, time management, and metacognition skills. This product focuses on the African American Civil Rights Movement, but also includes the Women's, Hispanic, and Native American Movements. The unit plan includes links to Crash Course US History videos on YouTube and articles on ushistory.org. Students reflect on their learning throughout the unit by rating themselves on the essential vocabulary, which they can also complete on the unit plan. Students also set goals for themselves and reflect on the unit as a whole. This product works best as a supplemental resource to your in-class lessons and activities. It also works really well as a study guide for a summative assessment. A full unit will be posted later! Enjoy!
