This activity allows you to guide students through the process of analyzing acts of terrorism from the three major sociological perspectives, functionalism, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism.
The teacher provides an example, students select an act to analyze with a partner or individually. Finally, students watch a Ted Talk about the dangers of alienation in a global world while following along with a film guide.
