PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The following is an activity in which students watch an episode of the television show "The Office" and apply the three sociological theories (Functionalism, Conflict, and Symbolic Interactionism) to the behavior of the characters in the episode shown.

This activity has three prompts (questions) for each theory which help guide students as they explain the behavior of the characters using each theory. I usually show the Christmas Party episode from Season 2 or Michael's Birthday from Season 2.

I use this application activity in my class after students have already taken the PPT notes (available for purchase in my TPT Store), read the chapter over the theories, and have completed The Sociological Perspectives Application Activity (available for purchase in my TPT Store). This is a great summative assessment.
