With these data cards, students will gather the essential information to complete the "100 People" project. The cards show different statistical data as if the world's population were represented as 100 people.
In my class, I cut all of the cards and put them in a community box in the front of the room. Then, students gathered all of the statistics and created an image that would represent each one (Ex: A red ribbon represented the number of people who suffer from HIV/AIDS). Lastly, the students would draw or digitally create a 100 square grid with the stat icons correctly divided as if to mirror the world's population (Ex: 50 squares had male icons and 50 had female icons).
