This is a PBL project on a problem in education and solutions to that problem. Students have four options to complete the project. They can facilitate a debate, write a blog post for Edutopia, create an iMovie, or write a research paper. A rubric is provided for a blog post.
Here is the assignment:
Learn about the biggest problems with public schools today, both from the perspective of experts in education. We have many critical issues facing public education and the larger question should be...How are we going to work together to solve them?
Your Challenge: Select one major challenge affecting public schools in the United States. Research the key issues affecting that issue and create a solution to that problem.
This PBL unit takes 7-9 days in class with presentations at the end.
