As an incentive at the end of the semester, I give my students this list from which they can pick two movies and watch. The movies are divided by topic [ex: sociological perspective, culture, personality, social structure/stratification, adolescent/adult, deviance, racial relations, gender/family, politics, religion, economy/environment, media, education, family, and health]. I screened each ahead of time for its relevance and students are required to sign a permission slip from parents if its a rated-R movie.
After watching the movie, they must fill out a movie guide. The movie guide is sold separately.
