Product Description
Sociology students will learn about social stratification By playing a game that mirrors social classes in the U.S. This simulation will provide advantages and disadvantages to certain groups regardless of how hard they studied for the review.

The PowerPoint Game allows you to edit the content questions to suit your needs, but the questions already provided align to the vocabulary for a sociology and social inequalities vocabulary unit.

You can click images and links to navigate through the game seamlessly, move pieces ahead and back on the virtual game board, and keep score while still in present mode.

You Get:
☑ Social Stratification Simulation Game(Editable)
☑ Game Foldable Reflection

How to Play:

❶ Put students in teams of five. Have them draw a number to figure out which team they will be on. Don’t tell them, but each team mirrors a social class in the U.S. Team 1=Upper-Upper Class; Team 2=Lower-Upper Class; Team 3=Middle Class; Team 4=Upper-Lower Class; Team 5=Lower-Lower Class.

❷Students should have been instructed to study their vocabulary and that there would be rewards for winning the game, but the cards and spinners provide obstacle to allowing students to achieve on their own merit. The game should take 45 minutes or a bit longer to play.

❸After the game, instruct students to answer the questions on the “Game Reflection” foldable organizer.

❹Discuss their responses as a class.
