In this activity, students will investigate the influence of song lyrics on social change. To start, students will choose one song from the examples and one song on their own. After researching the meaning behind the lyrics, students will use the outline to gather information and answer focus questions about both songs.
*I took my students to the computer lab so they could listen to the songs and also research the lyrics.
*As an extension, I had students create a small posterboard to display the information they found on the personal song they chose.
