The four posters are hung on wall, closet doors, or any semi-private place in the classroom. When students have a “Kid size Conflict” they go to the “Talk It Out Wall” to resolve. The teacher uses dramatization and models process prior to student use. Teacher watches as students “Use a Word” to talk it out and resolve conflict. Student #1 stands on the left, where posters 1 & 2 are hung, and Student #2 stands on the right, where posters 3 & 4 are hung. Sometimes, if there are 2 sides to the story, students reverse sides and repeat process to fully resolve the conflict. When both students are comfortable with the resolution a hand shake or high five is exchanged.
This process works great for playground issues that
find their way into the classroom!
