In-class Socratic Seminar discussions or debates are fabulous, except for one thing: there is never enough class time. Due to this downfall, I created a reflection or follow-up sheet. Students self-assess, practice writing about what was discussed, and even get to chime in on what time did not allow. I print this sheet on colored paper, assign different sections each time, and even assign different sections for different students; therefore, it is an easy way to differentiate. Often, I would have students publish their reflections on the class wiki or blog to continue the discussion outside of class.
