This is a Socratic Seminar guide for students to use as they develop discussion questions.This guide is focused around the Jeannette Walls novel, The Glass Castle, figurative language terms, and the focus question for the socratic seminar (explained in formula). These can easily be swapped for any other text, literary concept, and focus question. Students are also encouraged to include text-to-text, text-to-self, and text-to-world connections; terms you might consider introducing through a mini-lesson before this activity. This worksheet is a platform for students to organize their thoughts & simultaneously create well-supported statements, ready to use during their Socratic Seminar.
