Need something that will help your students review what they've learned about the soft g? This practice pack is filled with fun stations and activities for you to use in your classroom in order to help your students practice reading words that contain the soft g sound. Some of these activities are games that you can play in whole group and others can be used during stations or independent practice. Plus I've created some worksheets that target the different soft g spellings.

Included you will find:
1. I have, Who has? - 2 sets for you! A kid favorite, this game can be played as a whole group or as a station once the students have practiced playing with you and understand the rules of the game. The first set only contains words that have soft g spellings. The second set, focuses on reading words with _dge and hard g. The _dge spelling is always the trickiest for my kids so I always want to make sure they get the extra practice they need.

2. Dynamite - Speaking of favorites, this one is mine. In this game, students take turns pulling out a word card from the baggie. The must be able to read the word in order to keep their card, but watch out! If you pull a "BOOM" word, you lose all your cards and must start over again! The person with the most cards at the end of the game wins! The words are separated by their spelling so it'll be up to you to decide which words you want your students to focus on.

3. Roll, Read, and Color - Students will roll the die, then read and color one of the words under the corresponding column. Example: If a student rolls a 3, he will have to read one of the words from the column under the die showing 3. The words are separated by their spelling so it'll be up to you to decide which words you want your students to focus on. I even throw in a mix of hard g and soft g practice for your kiddos. We need to make sure they understand how the soft g works!

4. Worksheet Practice (11) - Reading words to get through a maze, unscrambling words to create a sentence, and a couple of real or nonsense worksheet practice.

Make sure you check out the preview to get a better idea of you'll be getting in this packet!
