Description
Help students learn how to spell and read words that have the soft g (j) sound. This set includes sorting cards and spelling practice pages for soft g words.
Differentiated Picture Sorting Cards
Introduce words that have ge, gi, gy, dge in them using pictures. The images help ELLs understand the vocabulary that is used. Three versions of sorting cards are included. Set one has the picture and the word, set two has only the picture and set three only has the words.
Student Sorting Cards
There are smaller sizes of sorting cards for student use. There are also worksheets with pictures or pictures and words for students to cut out and glue.
No Prep Practice Pages
There are five levels of practice pages for each word. Level one provides students with the letters to spell each word and lines for each letter. Level two shows the lines. Level three only shows the picture. There are also sheets for students to trace the words and ones where they fill in the missing letters that make the soft g sound.
