Product Description
Soil conservation using the NASA website by looking at the data collected by the SMAP satellite, soil moisture remote sensing, and the benefits it provides people.

Taking a look at the benefits farmers have by using their smartphone to tracking their water use with the satellite.

Then to another site to review soil from any of the 50 states, I had my students compare our state to a state that they would like to visit the site gives them facts about the most popular or important soil in each state.

The final section is a farming game where they plant 3 different crops and must select what planting method to use (till or no-till) how much fertilizer to use in an attempt to keep their crop production high and greenhouse gas emissions low.

This worked really well with my 6th grade classes.
