Increase student excitement and motivation with these hands-on space and solar system activities!

This space project is designed to keep students active and inquisitive, and it incorporates multiple learning styles to keep students engaged. Teachers will love that their students will actually be LEARNING while having FUN!

There are six different missions that students may complete in this project. However, before students may start their mission, they should complete the included solar system booklet. In the booklet, students will take interactive notes on the moon, day and night, seasons, inner planets, outer planets, life cycle of a star, and the universe. Once students complete the booklet, they may begin their missions!

Mission 1-Create a scaled model of each planet’s distance from the sun.
Mission 2-Create a scaled model of the size of each planet.
Mission 3-Create a video to explain day & night and seasons.
Mission 4-Create craters from different heights.
Mission 5-Create constellation viewing cards.
Mission 6-Space shuttle lander STEM project
