Use movement as a conductor in this fun solfege singing activity! The "conductor" dances from one corresponding colored spot to another as the class follows along, singing various solfege patterns. All chromatic solfa syllables are included, so this activity can be performed from first grade through college! Great to encourage reluctant participants in singing activities, because they can be the conductor. Helps develop ear training through interval practice, develops new ways of watching a conductor, and is a different way to introduce new intervals. Students learn the left/right patterns of high and low in music as well. Students can also work in groups with this activity at centers and videotape their progress to upload to SeeSaw and other platforms.
