Minimise tattling and reinforce expectations with ready-made lesson plan and resources - no prep needed!
There are four fun worksheets for students draw a solution to minor problems that can arise in the playground, that they can solve on their own without teacher intervention. I have used this successfully in my first grade classroom to reduce problems being brought to my attention and interrupting learning time when they are very minor and can be self-solved. One of these worksheets is blank so that students can either copy problems relevant to their particular class, or choose their own.
I have also attached a PowerPoint that explains three types of conflicts: green, yellow and red, like a traffic light. It explains that some problems do need to be brought to a teachers attention (red problems) and that is okay, however there are some problems that students need to attempt to solve themselves first (yellow problems) and some that don't require any intervention at all (green problems). This pack focuses on green and yellow problems.
