Put your students in pairs or let them work independently.
Your students will cut out the graphs, equations, and roots/ solutions.
Your students will use what they know about zeros (x-intercepts), slopes and y-intercepts to sort (match) the equations, graphs, and roots/solutions.
Some of these will require them to rewrite the equation with 0 on the right side.
This is the first introduction that my student have to systems of equations.
I have included an Answer key with a number on the graph, letter on the equation, and symbol on the root/ solution to make this quick and easy to check.
Variations to this activity:
**You could use technology to graph
** You could have them check their answer algebraically.
