This sort gives learners the opportunity to solve absolute value equations by graphing.

In short, students will be given a student activity sheet with 12 absolute value equations and 2 pages of cards containing graphs and solution sets for those equations. Students will need to go through the cards and find the graph and solution set of each absolute value equation they are given. Once they have found the graph and solution set to an absolute value equation, they can glue them down in the appropriate place on their student activity sheet.

This resource contains cards for students to match (2 pages), a student activity sheet (2 pages), directions, and an answer key!

*This activity was written for an Algebra 2 level class (or an advanced Algebra 1 class). It contains 2 questions with variables on both sides of the equation. Please see the preview to determine if this activity is at the appropriate level of rigor for your students!
