There are two activity sheets (worksheets) here that are facts about George Washington. They look almost identical for those who have students with wandering eyes or to go over as practice and independent practice. **These are the same FACTS as the Order of Operations-Facts About George Washington. Obviously, the math problems are different.
Students are to solve fairly easy algebraic equations. There are a few problems that have variables and constants on both sides of the equation. There are a couple of problems that have a negative constant to convert or a negative answer. When the student finds the correct answer, he/she will also find the fact about George Washington. This activity can be counted as a cross curriculum activity.
All of these are created by me and you will possibly find errors since I have not given this to students yet. If you do, please contact me. I can probably correct it pretty easily and send you a corrected copy back.
I think that these are worthwhile activities for President's Day (week) or for Washington's birthday. I hope that you enjoy them. If you want more cross-curriculum activities, students can write a paragraph from information found about George Washington.
You may make copies for YOUR classroom this year and in years to come, but you may not share this product with others.. My version of "Solving Algebraic Equations-Facts about George Washington" is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivatives 4.0 International License.
