This lesson is meant to be used as guided notes for an entire class. Students begin by relearning the fact that the cross products are equal in any proportion. They then solve a very simple proportion the quick way (cross multiply and divide) in order to see where this "trick" comes from and that it can't always be used when the proportions become more complex. Finally, they solve a few proportions by setting the cross products equal to each other.
The assessment is based off of the guided notes.
