Description

Barre chords are super common and versatile, but difficult! They are so common that skipping them is out of the question. Hopefully, with these classroom printables and teacher strategies, learning barre chords on the guitar can be approached in an accessible way that is easy to understand for your learners. These suggestions set your learners up for success with as many choices as possible.

Write in your favourite fingerings or chord names with the fret number to help learners remember particular barre shapes. Use some of the simplified versions to help as a stepping stone to the full barre chords. Or, have learners play power chords until they are comfortable with barres. Once learners understand these 4 basic shapes, they can literally play any major and minor chord. More complex chords become easier, too!
