This is a double-sided worksheet focused on applying solving equations skills to application questions. The first 3 questions, the student is given a point and an equation in standard form and asked to determine if the point is a solution to the equation or not. On questions 4 through 6, the student is given either x or y of a point and asked to find the other value that makes the equation true. Finally, questions 7 through 12 are applications. For example, given the dimensions of a rectangle and its perimeter, find the value of x, given an equation in y = mx + b format and y, find the value of x, etc. See the preview for more examples. 12 questions total.
