Description
Students solve equations on 80 pennants in this pennant bundle that doubles as classroom decor. There are pennants for the following types of equations:
20 for solving 1-step equations
20 for solving 2-step equations
20 for solving multi-step equations (with variables on both sides)
20 for solving multi-step equations with distribution (distribution on one or both sides)
Pennants can be assigned to students all at once as a giant class review or can be given one set at a time over the course of your solving equations unit. You can even give different sets to different students as a way to differentiate equation solving. Once a pennant is complete, it can be hung along a string in your classroom to show the world that, "Hey, we know how to solve equations!"
Each group of students can be given a set of pennants, scissors and either glue, tape or a stapler. Students can be in charge of cutting out the pennants. Groups can compete to see which group can complete the most pennants or your entire class can add pennants to one string as they complete each one. You may also choose to have your students color their pennants to add to your classroom decor.
