This lesson begins with a property warm up. Students are asked to match the multiplication property of equality, the division property of equality, the inverse property of multiplication, the identity property of multiplication, and the associative property of multiplication with provided examples.
After several model problems, students are then asked to find the solution set for eight equations and o state whether the Multiplication Property of Equality or the Division Property of Equality would be used to solve the equation. Several word problems are then reviewed as a class and an exit card completed as well.
This lesson also included a SmartNotebook file.
