It's scavenger hunt time!
This is a great activity that can be a done individually or with partners.
Students will walk around the room (or hallway) solving problems. This activity gets students up and moving and discussing in small groups!
1) Students need an answer form. On a blank sheet of paper, students should make a column called Beginning Letter, another called Work, the next Answer, and lastly Ending Letter. (Similar to the key.)
2) Assign each student a beginning letter. Students will start there, open up the card, solve the problem on the side and show work, write down their answer, and then go find the next card with the answer on the outside flap. The letter at the bottom will be the ending letter. It was also be the beginning letter of their next problem.
3) When students are done, it's an easy check to see if their beginning and ending numbers match up!
-Print cards two sided in order
-Fold the card over so you see the answer and the beginning/ending letter, but the question is on the inside. The card should be about an 80%/20% fold.
-If students get a loop in their answers (as in they return to a problem they previously did), they did something wrong, so it's a great chance to check their work and back track.
