This lesson begins with a warm up that serves as a means of reviewing the distributive property.
This lesson also includes two model problems that (as a class) will be solved and checked in order to demonstrate how the distributive property can be used in solving equation.
After the model problems are solved and checked, students complete a "Flip Flop Check". Students are placed in pairs and one student is Partner A and one student is Partner B. Partner A solves (but does not check) all of the problems on their worksheet while Partner B does the same. Once both partners have solved their equations, they exchange papers to check each other's equations.
This lesson concludes with an exit card.
There is also a SmartNotebook file attached as well.
