This is a Scavenger Hunt activity that addresses Solving Equations with Variables on Both Sides
. There are 8 questions total. Several questions involve simplifying using the distributive property and combining like terms before solving.
As the students solve the equations, they collect letters that will spell out an 8-letter math word if done in the correct order. This allows the teacher to quickly check if they solved correctly. An answer document and directions included.
