Product Description

This MS PowerPoint presentation provides an easy-to-understand and classroom-tested technique for solving exponential functions using algebra and graphing but without logarithms. I use this presentation in my 10th and 11th grade Math 3 / Algebra 2 classes during our review of exponential functions. The presentation is very detailed and fully animated to keep the students engaged and focused. It includes detailed steps on how to solve exponential functions using either algebra or graphing solution techniques. At the outset the presentation includes some basic review material for solving exponential functions. Four (4) examples are provided for each solution technique. I always print a hardcopy of the slidepack for my students to review and use as I go through the slide presentation. This way they can take notes on the slides and attempt to solve the problems themselves. The solutions for the problems in this ppt presentation slidepack are off to the side of the slide where they are not initially visible to the students. When the teacher goes through these slides, the detailed solution step for each example moves in from the right side of the slide onto the slide itself with a click of the mouse. This allows the teacher to ask the students to add the various solution steps on their slide before the solution is actually shown. This way the students can try to solve them on their own before they see the solution. The native MS PowerPoint ppt file is included to allow the teacher/end user to modify any of the slides if desired.
