This product is a zip file containing 2 pdf documents. One is the puzzle itself; the other is the solution.
While assembling this puzzle, students will practice solving equations involving the exponential (e) and natural log (ln) functions. See the preview for example problems.
How to use this activity:
Group students into groups of 2-3 students. Give each group a copy of the puzzle pieces (2 pages). They will need to cut out the square pieces. For each equation, the students should solve and find the result on another piece. They will tape the edges of those pieces together. The puzzle forms a rectangle when complete. The edges of the puzzle are blank. A key is provided so you can see what the finished product will look like!
My students love doing these types of puzzles because they know immediately if their answer is wrong. Working in groups allows students to help each other, find each other's mistakes, and gain extra practice on the topic we are learning.
