There are 14 cards that have on one end a one-variable inequality to solve and on the other end a graph of an inequality. Students will solve each inequality and find the card with the matching graph of the solution. The students will match the edge of the inequality with the edge of its solutions. Then, the students will solve the next inequality on the chain until all inequalities have been matched with their corresponding solutions. The cards can be formed in a circle/oval so the last card and the first card will match or the cards can be placed in a straight line, keeping in mind that the last and first cards will complete the chain.
Included in this product are two versions: a version with larger cards that are ideal if the cards will be precut before the activity (cards are in order) and a student version with smaller cards that the students can cut out themselves before completing the activity.
There is also a sheet students can use to show their work and as a bonus there are two assignments included. The first assignment has basic skills, so it can be used prior to the activity and the second assignment would be good for extra practice before or after the activity.
Students enjoy this activity and it is wonderful as individual practice or in small groups.
