This resource can be used during guided practice, for homework, remediation, or assessment. The goal for this assignment is for students to accurately solve two and multi-step inequalities with positive or negative coefficients. I have found that many students struggle with determining whether the negative rule is applicable when solving inequalities. To combat this problem, students are required to do the math, explain the math, and then summarize the math. By doing and explicitly writing their students, students are able to determine whether they should use the negative sign.
