This coloring activity includes 50 linear equation problems. This is great for a week long assignment as either classwork or homework. The 50 problems get harder as the students work through them. The first 15 problems have only positive integers, the next 15 problems include decimals, and the last 20 problems include positive and negative integers.
In my class, I use this activity for classwork. I assign 10 problems a day to give the students practice with solving linear equations. The students that finish the problems quicker than the rest begin coloring the picture which still gives them something to do.
My students love solving the problems as the week proceeds so that they can figure out what the picture is supposed to be. It keeps them motivated to practice problems in class.
