This Powerpoint (and pdf) was made for my Algebra students to review how to solve linear equations. The Powerpoint is comprehensive in that it addresses one-step, two-step, and multi-step equations. Even though this was meant to be a review, most concepts, such as combining like terms and using the distributive property are addressed as well. The Powerpoint includes some visuals to help visual learners see what the written description means. There are examples of each step.
In the Powerpoint, it asks the students to write down the 6 steps of solving a linear equation (although not all steps are always necessary). Alternatively, the steps could be printed on paper and given to the students to save time.
This Powerpoint should be paired with worksheets having the type of practice the students need.
