Please find instruction for your students to learn all about what a Linear Equation is and how to solve for a Linear Equation using addition and subtraction. Key terms (Equivalent equations, Linear Equations, and Inverse Operation) are explained. Students learn that in order to solve for a Linear Equation, they must isolate the variable. I inserted a number of practice problems for them to try out, and an answer page is provided so that they may confirm that they have the correct answers. The lesson concludes with two "Real-Life" problems that give the differences in acreage size of a couple of our National Parks, and your students will find the size of one park by knowing the size of another park and the difference between the two. Here is their opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge of the "Inverse Operation"
