Students are given the pricing for two different T-shirt companies, asked to write linear equations for each company, and then to set them up as a system of equations.
After writing the equations, there is a table created that they must fill in and a grid provided on which to graph the equations. They must then analyze the information by answering questions like "Which company would you order from if you ordered 5 t-shirts? What about 15? What about 20?" so that students may analyze the point of intersection (the solution to the system) and points on either side of the solution.
