First, students solve the two multi-step equations on a card. Next, they add, subtract, multiply or divide their two solutions, based on what the check step says to do. Chances are if their check number matches, the two equations were solved correctly!

This algebra activity is self-checking, giving students that instant feedback they love. Some equations are harder than others. Some equations involve fractional coefficients and some solutions are fractions/decimals.
