These 6 differentiated worksheets cover solving one step equations with decimals, fractions, and mixed numbers.
The first set of 3 worksheets asks the students to break the problem into steps. The students work through a process where they determine the operation used on the variable, the inverse operation, what they should do to isolate the variable, their answer, and then a check.
The second set of 3 worksheets just asks the students to solve the problem. You can use both or just one set of worksheets depending on your classroom needs.
Some of the questions include:
* a – 1.5 = 3.2 (Level 1)
* 81/3+ k = 15 2/3 (Level 2)
* m ÷ 2.7 = 7 (Level 3)
There is enough room on the worksheets for students to show their work.
You can check out the thumbnail images and the preview file above to see what the problems look like.
These worksheets include 3 different levels.
- Level 1 is basic and is the easiest.
- Level 2 is intermediate and is a little more difficult.
